Biiwong Foundation within the frame work of its humanitarian response in the north west , visited Helping Hands Children’s Home , orphanage with a couple of items to assist both the staff and the children during the festive period. Among the top activities conducted on this faithful day , was a an elaborative talk from our team of health experts to teenage girls on menstrual hygiene being a hygienic practice during menstruation which can prevent women from the infection in reproductive and urinary tract. … Emphasis was laid to this due to the fact that hygiene-related practices of women during menstruation are of considerable importance, as it may increase vulnerability to Reproductive Tract Infections (RTI’s).A handful of sexual and reproductive health , sanitary pads were distributed to teenage girls to assist them achieve good hygiene practises .
